Newsletter – November 2024

It’s November. The election is over. The great distraction is now gone.

In our area (and others), real estate activity often dips in the months prior to an election. Uncertainty creates a “wait and see” mindset—big decisions get delayed. After the election, most people proceed with the plans they already had; their decision was delayed, not eliminated.

Recently, we’ve heard more clients say: “We’ve been waiting for something (prices to fall, rates to drop, inflation to reverse, kids’ plans, retirement, a new job…). We’re tired of waiting for perfect conditions.” We can’t control external factors—and normal, if it arrives, is fleeting. We’re built to adapt. What are you waiting for?

On a personal note: Jane’s been a lifelong Eagles (the band) fan. After missing chances for years, we saw they’re playing the Sphere in Las Vegas—so we grabbed the opportunity. We’re seeing them in 3 weeks.

Community giving in memory of Jackie Crego

We’re not hosting a pie event this year. Instead, in memory of our friend Jackie Crego (whom we lost to colon cancer), we’re donating to an organization she loved.

Jackie volunteered at the Tick Tock Early Learning Center in Avondale, PA, a nonprofit providing reliable, affordable child care and preschool to children of low-income workers in southern Chester County.
