About Brookhaven
Brookhaven Borough is a compact residential community in eastern Delaware County, with a grid of mid-century homes on smaller lots served by the Penn-Delco School District. Route 1 runs along its border providing commercial access, and I-95 is a short drive east. The borough has a neighborhood-scale feel with local parks and community events.
Buying or Selling in Brookhaven?
Selling in Brookhaven
Brookhaven’s smaller lots and consistent housing stock mean pricing precision is critical – overpricing by even 5% can stall a listing in a market where buyers have plenty of comparable options nearby. We use recent transaction data within the borough specifically, not just district-wide averages.
Buying in Brookhaven
Brookhaven offers an affordable Delaware County entry point with Penn-Delco schools. The housing stock is mostly 1950s-1970s construction on smaller lots, so if you need yard space or a garage, you may need to look at specific streets rather than ruling out the borough entirely.
