Woodmere — marketed under the name Woodmere Park — is a post-World War II detached single-family neighborhood in Haverford Township, Delaware County, built on the former 104-acre Brookline Square Club Golf Course. The golf course land was sold to the Conway Corporation, reclaimed through foreclosure in 1930, and later redeveloped by two unnamed developers into the residential streets that stand today, with most homes dating to the late 1940s through early 1950s. The neighborhood sits between Darby Road to the south and Mill Road to the east — two of the oldest roads in the state, Darby Road tracing its origins to 1687 — and feeds into the Haverford Township School District, with Chestnutwold Elementary School serving as the most common elementary assignment.
