About
West Grove is an incorporated borough in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, chartered in November 1893 after separating from London Grove Township, covering 0.6 square miles with a 2020 Census population of 2,775. The borough grew as a commercial and nursery hub: in 1868, Charles Dingee and Alfred Conard founded the Dingee & Conard Nursery, which by the late 1880s had made the West Grove Post Office the second largest in Chester County by volume. Today the borough is home to Dansko’s LEED-certified headquarters and company store on Federal Road, and sits within the Avon Grove School District, a K-12 system of approximately 5,000 students serving seven municipalities across 67 square miles of southern Chester County.
