About Media
Media Borough functions as the county seat of Delaware County, with a walkable State Street core of restaurants, shops, and civic buildings. The SEPTA trolley runs through downtown and Regional Rail connects to Philadelphia, making it one of the most transit-accessible communities in the western suburbs. Housing ranges from Victorian-era detached homes to newer condo and townhome developments, all within the Rose Tree Media School District.
Buying or Selling in Media?
Selling in Media
Media’s walkability premium is real – buyers pay more per square foot for borough addresses than comparable homes just outside the borough line. If you’re selling, that premium needs data behind it. We track how borough properties perform versus surrounding townships so your price reflects what the market actually supports.
Buying in Media
Borough properties in Media carry higher millage rates and generally offer smaller lots than surrounding townships. You’re paying for walkability, transit, and lifestyle – make sure that trade-off works for your daily routine, not just your weekend plans.
